My participation in the 2025 Tasmanian State Election as an independent candidate was a cautious attempt to further the causes I have been working for through my career: equitable access to healthy, dignified housing and sustainable, resilient and beautiful built environment everywhere, among others.
My general position is environmentally conscious, socially minded, yet ethically conservative – a perspective noticeably absent in the traditional party spectrum.
Generally I put ideas before ideologies, policies before politics.
My track record includes:
- The establishment Architects Assist, an initiative of over 600 Australian architectural firms who provide pro bono (free) services to those affected by natural and other disasters.
- Free architectural plans for affordable homes that have been downloaded by thousands of people, with new homes being built across Australia.
- Equipping Australians with knowledge and empowerment to build their own homes and communities via lectures, presentations and the media.
I believe in polite, calm and respectful political discussion and will not engage in anything else.
